Ural State Medical University is a recognized centre of medical science, the successes, and achievements of which have an impact on the modern innovative development of the region. Ural State Medical University scientists conduct joint research with, the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the middle ideal scientific centre of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the government of the Sverdlovsk region, federal research. The Ministry of Health of Russia, professor of the Department of Polyclinic Paediatrics and Paediatrics of the fpc and pp. In October 2016 she was elected a Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences with a degree in paediatrics; in 2017 she was
elected the president of the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
On March 1, 2018, by the order of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, she was appointed to the post of rector of the USMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Graduate from the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute in 1984, she had done her PhD in 1997- a doctoral dissertation. Since 1998 she has been a professor at the Department of nervous diseases and Neurosurgery of the Ural state medical academy.
The Dean’s Office of international students of the Ural state medical university was established in September 2019. However, the training of foreign citizens at Ural state medical universities has a long history. At different times, students come from different countries Syria, the united arab emirates, India and Africa. Received their education at different stages of university training, residency, and postgraduate studies.
Currently, more than 300 international students from more than 30 countries are studying in the main specialities of ural- state medical universities.

The federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education “Ural State Medical University of the Ministry of the Health of the Russian Federation” was founded in 1930 as the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute.
The university today is more than 7700 students, interns, residents, graduate students and trainees studying at 77 departments, 8 faculties and departments, 40 clinical bases in the best medical institutions, medical research institutes, bodies and institutions of rospotrebnadzor, pharmacies of the city and region, in its own dental clinic equipped with the most high-tech equipment.
All the most modern and high-tech methods of diagnostics and treatment, which the healthcare of the city of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region is proud of developed, implemented and improved with the participation of university scientists: minimally invasive, robot-assisted operations. FACULTY OF MEDICINE (MBBS)
Training under the speciality program of General Medicine is carried out in full-time education. The normative term for mastering the basic educational program of General medicine for full-time education is 6 years including an internship (Total of 12 semesters).
The complexity of mastering the speciality of the students of the speciality General medicine for the entire period of study is 360 credit units (1 credit unit corresponds to 36 academic hours). The volume of basic educational training programs in full-time education, implemented for one academic year is 60 credits units.
Simulation learning technologies are also used in the educational process, starting from the 1st year. Practical classes for a number of specialized disciplines are organized at the Accreditation and Simulation Center. At clinical departments, dummies and phantoms, imitators of sounds (noises), visual information materials, devices, and medical equipment are presented.
Faculty Of Dentistry
The faculty of dentistry of the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute was opened on August 6, 1976 (order of the state committee of the Russian Federation for higher education).
Students and doctors are trained in well-equipped classrooms, treatment rooms, and phantom classrooms, on new diagnostic equipment using modern technologies and the experience of both Russian and foreign colleagues from Germany, France, Holland, the USA, Canada, and China. All classrooms are equipped with a set of equipment for multimedia presentations, demonstrations of educational films. A single network with internet access allows real-time remote teleconferences with a demonstration of clinical admission of patients. Students of the faculty of dentistry actively participate in research work, in extracurricular activities, winning prizes at competitions, and festivals at the Russian and international levels. Students regularly undergo international internships in countries near and far abroad.
The demand for graduates of the faculty of dentistry at USMU is 100%. Graduates work in Yekaterinburg, the Ural region, Moscow, st. Petersburg, countries of the near and far abroad in dental institutions of various forms of ownership: both private and public. We have repeatedly received positive feedback from employers. In the city of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region, more than 80% of dentists are graduates of the faculty of dentistry of the Ural state medical university, who work as dentists, heads of departments, and chief doctors. Most of the employees of the profile departments of USMU are also graduates of the faculty; many of them are candidates, doctors of medical sciences.
